KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH is a private joint-stock company which has grown dynamically over the years. Currently, it is the largest manufacturer in this field in Central and Eastern Europe. Austrian Joseph Gartmut, who created graphite from a mix of powder graphite, clay, starch, soot and water, is the founder of the company which all over the world will be known under mark KOH-I-NOOR later. The company uses the trademark KOH-I-NOOR. It was first registered on 12 November 1894 and today it is protected in 73 countries of the world. The well-known "ribbon" logo began to be used with the written trademark from 30 September 1935. Last year a further logo was created - the symbol of a pencil- representing the company's main production line. The most popular eraser is the model Elephant. It keeps softness for a long time and ideally erases graphite traces from any surface. Erasers Elephant are rectangular of five different sizes. Eraser Mondeluz erases traces of the soft graphite pencils and coal; it is used also for shading and clarification of tone of the sketch. Eraser Astra is ideal for deleting of graphite traces left by pencils HB-3H. Wedge-shaped eraser Progresso is universal for deleting of graphite and inks traces from any kind of a paper. The interesting eraser Magic is made from a multi-colored alloy with addition of very soft abrasives that makes the eraser universal. There is also the eraser intended specially for deleting of inks – Pluto made from natural rubber and abrasive materials. Also the range of rubber erasers Koh-i-noor includes wedge-shaped erasers Sunpearl and Blue Star. Especially for artists the kneadable eraser from natural rubber (model 6421/18) is produced. Plastic erasers are of different colors and shapes. One of them is a wedge-shaped eraser Plastic profi. Erasers with black plastic body provide maximum comfort in work. Such erasers are not afraid of direct solar beams, and the holder allows performing thin correcting works accurately. Soft triangular eraser makes any laborious work easier.
